Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

By law, the relationship between you and your therapist is protected. Information cannot be disclosed without written permission or court action.

There are some exceptions to this rule:

• Suspected child, dependent adult or elder abuse. These cases need to be reported by law.

• If a client is threatening harm to another person(s), the police and the potential victim must be notified.

• If a client intends to harm themselves every effort will be made to work with the client to ensure they remain safe, if that is not possible, the therapist may take action to ensure the client is safe even without their permission.
